Coca-Cola Oreo
The Coca-Cola Company (2024)
Last month, I mentioned that Dr. Pepper Creamy Coconut was my favorite zero sugar soda that I've ever had, but this one is every bit as good. In fact, it might be better.
Coca-Cola Oreo is produced only as a Zero Sugar beverage. Even though I knew that it wasn't going to have any sugar before I tried it for the first time, I expected that it would be overly sweet or have an unpleasant artificial sweetener aftertaste, but that's not the case here. It is freaking delicious! The food scientists who came up with this formula are god damned geniuses. When you take a sip of this soda, you can taste the Coke flavor, you can taste the chocolate Oreo Cookie, and you can taste the Oreo cream center, and no one flavor overpowers the others.
They're producing Coca Cola Oreo in 7.5 oz mini cans, which are sold either in a 6 or a 10 pack, as well as individual 20 oz bottles. I know it sounds like a weird combination, but this is going to be one that you'll be glad you tried.
The other side of the Coca-Cola / Oreo partnership is the availability of Coca-Cola flavored Oreo Cookies.
Each of the cookies are made with one half traditional chocolate Oreo cookie, one half Coca-Cola flavored cookie (in one of three designs), and white cola-flavored cream in the center that has been mixed with microscopic candy similar to Pop Rocks which give the cookies a carbonated soda mouthfeel.
The thing that stuck me immediately about this product when I opened the package was the way that it smelled. It reminded me of the gummy cola bottles that I used to eat when I was a kid. The cookies themselves are pretty good. They're not my favorite limited edition variant of Oreo Cookies, but they're one of the better ones.
