The NES classic Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link was released in the United States 35 years ago today. The game was a Christmas present that I received from my grandparents that year, and although I never quite got the hang of the mechanics well enough to beat the game, it was a lot of fun to play. One thing I could get the handle on was The Adventures Of Link Fruit Snacks that were sold at around the same time. They were produced by the Thomas J. Lipton Company, who ended up selling their fruit snack business to Ferrara Pan a few years later (source: daverd on reddit.com/r/nostalgia).
