For the second year in a row, the Philadelphia Phillies have sent the Atlanta Braves home in the NLDS. They're moving on to the NLCS to face the Arizona Diamondbacks. They've got home field advantage, and the rotation is all set up for Wheeler to take the ball in Game 1.
This may be my favorite Phillies team of all time... these guys right here. I don't think I've ever seen a team with this level of heart and hustle and who truly seem like they enjoy being able to take the field together.
Ranger Suarez pitched a gem. Topper managed his bullpen perfectly by not holding back on the big arms in big moments. Castellanos becomes the first player in the history of Major League Baseball to hit multiple home runs in back-to-back nights in the post-season. Turner is batting .478 (11-for-23) with three doubles, two home runs, and a 1.433 OPS so far in his first post-season with the Phillies. Rojas makes an amazing catch in center field that probably saved the game. And Bryce Harper... he's our dude... and he's leading this team to a championship.
