The third game of the 2022 World Series produced yet another moment that is destined to go down as one of the most memorable in franchise history. Bryce Harper put the Phillies on the board with a two run homer off of Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr in the bottom of the first inning. Shortly after coming back to the dugout, Harper called Alec Bohm over from the on deck circle to share a piece of advice with him. It must have been pretty good advice, because Bohm smacked the first pitch that he saw for a home run.
Bohm's dinger was his first career post-season home run and the 1,000th home run in the history of the World Series.
The Phillies would go on to hit five home runs which tied the record for the most home runs a team has ever hit in a World Series game. Their pitching got the job done too - the Phillies shut out the 2022 AL Champs 7-0 to take a 2-1 lead in the World Series.
