The first studio album from the legendary Jimi Hendrix was released 55 years ago today.  Literally every song on the North American release of Are You Experienced is an absolute masterpiece, including Fire, Hey Joe, Foxy Lady and a song that would be in the George Washington position on the classic rock Mt. Rushmore, Purple Haze.
