Rio
Duran Duran (1982)
The second studio album from the legendary Duran Duran, and arguably the greatest new wave album of all-time turns forty years old today. The album went double platinum and includes three songs that have gone down as 80's classics: Rio, Hungry Like The Wolf, and my favorite song on the album, Save A Prayer.
Duran Duran (1982)
You saw me standing by the wallCorner of a main streetAnd the lights are flashing on your window sillAll alone ain't much funSo you're looking for the thrillAnd you know just what it takesAnd where to goDon't say a prayer for me nowSave it 'til the morning afterNo, don't say a prayer for me nowSave it 'til the morning afterFeel the breeze deep on the insideLook you down into your wellIf you can, you'll see the world in all his fireTake a chance like all dreamersYou can't find another wayYou don't have to dream it allJust live a dayDon't say a prayer for me nowSave it 'til the morning afterNo, don't say a prayer for me nowSave it 'til the morning afterPretty looking roadI try to hold the rising floods that fill my skinDon't ask me why, I'll keep my promiseMelt the iceAnd you wanted to danceSo I asked you to danceBut fear is in your soulSome people call it a one-night standBut we can call it paradiseDon't say a prayer for me nowSave it 'til the morning afterNo, don't say a prayer for me nowSave it 'til the morning after
