West Coast Video advertisementThe Philadelphia Inquirer (June 27, 1986)A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge premiered in theaters thirty years ago today. It flopped hard at the box office and, in retrospect, it stands out like a sore thumb in the
Freddy Krueger film library. It's not a bad flick, but I think it would have found a lot more success if it was its own movie instead of being a sequel to something else. It might be an interesting project to see a remake that incorporates all of the plot points, but with a different monster and no association with any other horror franchise.
